Claremont's Owen Bishop and Ryan Renken each won their respective heats in the boys 3,200 at the CIF Southern Section Division 2 prelims at Moorpark High to advance to the section finals at Cerritos College. Bishop finished with the fastest time of the day at 9:24.19 and Renken was third overall at 9:28.81. The duo also advanced in the 1,600 with Renken clocking the top time at 4:17.64 and Bishop finished second overall at 4:18.27.
